My name is Michael Lachenmeyer. I was raised in Wilbraham, educated at Mile Tree, Memorial, and Academy Hill and I graduated from Minnechaug.
I have great love for this community that I call home. Its people are kind and its natural beauty can be breathtaking. Yet, the problems we face here are very real and have gone unaddressed for far too long.

My involvement in politics was spurred by the start of Trump’s first presidency. At the time of his inauguration, I was a high school senior studying abroad in Germany on a federal scholarship program. The first protest I ever attended was part of the Women’s March and was held outside the American consulate in Düsseldorf.
When I returned to the United States, I dove deeper into politics. I decided to study political science and international relations at Loyola University Chicago, and I co-founded and led a chapter of the Indivisible Movement there. During the summers, I worked on political campaigns in western Mass.

Rep. Puppolo has had nearly 20 years to show leadership on key issues like cost-of-living, economic development, and government transparency. Instead, he’s consistently been behind the curve.
We deserve better.
